Backyard Firepit

I will design and install a non-mortared block firepit with grill.

Purchase: Crossover Utility Minivan

I’ve decided on a 2015 or 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe as my minivan of choice.

I need to purchase one over the next few months.

I think I will set up a mailbox for this project. I think it needs one. cuv@termdate.com/santafe2016

I’ve gotten on the Costco car buying program again. It is the same dealer that I don’t much like. Still worth a baseline price.

My sister bought a Hyundai in Lake Bluff at Knauz Hyundai. I liked that experience. Much better than my Mazda experience. It is far though. I need to reach out.

Brouwerij West Mør Mør

Very strange tasting beer. The initial taste is a bit of an assault. Metallic and tart and abrasive. Unpleasant. I made a face half a second into tasting this. The bad kind. After a while, I was able to taste past that initial flavor and sweet and fruity were present. And after half a bottle, I think I was used to it.

Still, I did not liked this. I finished it. And it wasn’t too hard. I wonder if this is what oxidized tastes like.

This was very disappointing. It wasn’t as if I had great expectations but anything in a bomber should be at least as good as the the shelf turds in 6 packs. But those 6 packs are Bell’s Third Coast Old Ale on discount. And that’s a high bar.

But still. I was very disappointed. There wasn’t much taste. Just a tint of what tasted like the wood aging material. But just a tint. More importantly, there wasn’t the taste of delicious barleywine. That’s what I expect. I don’t need mind blowing. I do expect it to be very good though. Not much if any hops. Maltiness was not strong. It wasn’t light but didn’t coat my mouth. I rarely have barley wines that are this bland.
